Ok so I have issues with intermittent runners knee. I haven't had any issues with it for over a year and then I started to feel pings of knee pain during my workouts. Also I don't run. I do incline speed walking on the treadmill 3-5 days a week in addition to Pilates, barre, and strength training. So I knew when I felt that pain I needed to replace my running shoes. I google searched for the best running shoes for knee pain and Brooks was recommended over and over again. So I headed over to Amazon and checked out all the different models and I kept coming back to the launch 4's. They just seemed like the best ones. By this point my runners knee pain had come back in full force. I ordered one pair in black and white and when I got them and tried them on and walked around I was in disbelief that my knee felt so much better. Oh I had ordered a half size up per the reviews and they fit perfect. Also these shoes were so plush. The material was really soft inside the shoe and they felt broken in straight out of the box. They were not stiff at all. Now I have a rule that my running shoes are only to be worn inside the gym. So I took the shoes off and put my regular shoes back on and I immediately felt the pressure in my knee. So I knew I needed a second pair to wear everyday. So I got back on Amazon and picked out the black pair with purple and pink since they were the only ones in my size available that didn't have white soles. My boyfriend bought these for me through his Amazon account which is why my review isn't listed as a verified purchase. Anyways... I didn't think the pink, purple and black looked very attractive in the pictures but I am a crazy person about needing my shoes to look new. I was pleasantly surprised when I received them that they were super cute in person. I have worn them everyday and since and within a week my runners knee had gone back into remission. I am in love with these shoes. The do have that springy toe off which I love. Some reviews complained that the laces are too short but they never come undone when tied without a double knot. I have washed them in the washer and they came out fine. I love these shoes so much I plan to buy more to stock up in case the 5's aren't as wonderful. I fully recommend these shoes to anyone looking for lightweight, well cushioned, high quality running shoes for working out or for everyday wear
Update... I ordered a third pair today in the green and gray. I unfortunately stepped in dog mess and had to wash and dry my shoes and while I was doing so I put my old shoes on and within an hour my knee was tight and uncomfortable. I now will have a backup pair sobi never have to risk knee pain. My only wish is these shoes were waterproof like some of the other brooks shoes so I could wear them in snow and rain. These shoes are the very best I've ever had.
